Conquer Chiari Walk Across America

Event Location: WVU Erickson Alumni Center, Morgantown

The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held on the third and fourth Saturday of September, uniting patients and their families across the country. A Morgantown event will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center. WVU Medicine is serving as a sponsor.

Chiari malformation is a serious neurological disorder affecting more than 300,000 people in the United States.

Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. To pre-register visit www.conquerchiari.org. Participation is free. T-shirts will be provided for pre-registered walkers with a minimum donation of $25 (deadline is Aug. 16).

Proceeds will be used to fund Chiari research, education, and awareness programs.

At the event, there will be an opportunity to meet members of the WVU men's basketball team, lunch, a silent auction, raffles, and more.
