Department of Biochemistry to host Nobel Laureate

The Department of Biochemistry  is excited to host an upcoming seminar with Dr. Randy Schekman, a recipient of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Dr. Schekman will be presenting a seminar March 30 at noon via Zoom, "Selective protein sorting into exosomes: A role in cell differentiation and possible tool in gene editing."

All faculty, students and staff are welcome to join this meeting. The session is facilitated by Dr. Brandon Choi.

In addition, we would like to encourage every graduate student, as well as undergraduate students from other departments, to join a Student Meeting with the Nobel Laureate at 2 p.m. on the same date.

This session for students only will be hosted by a postdoctoral fellow, Katie Dunleavy, from the Choi Lab in the Biochemistry Department. Students will have a chance to ask questions and directly interact with the Nobel Laureate.

To attend the student meeting, please send an RSVP as soon as possible to crystal.verdini@hsc.wvu.edu with your name and your department. (Note: If you have already RSVP'd, you need not RSVP again.)
