Silverberg earns Certificate of Travel Health

Benjamin Silverberg, M.D., assistant professor in the West Virginia University Department of Emergency Medicine and the Physician Assistant Studies program, recently received a Certificate in Travel Health from International Society of Travel Medicine.

The certificate is a symbol of a physician’s achievement in the field—and proof of Dr. Silverberg’s commitment to excellence.

Silverberg had his first brush with the medical field while teaching English in Ecuador, where he found his passion for Latinx health care. Since then, his interest in travel medicine has taken him around the world.

The WVU Travel Health Clinic is located in the Student Health Clinic on Birch St., across from the Student Recreational Center.
