Wheeler named to AOTA Roster of Fellows

Steven Wheeler, Ph.D., OTR/L, chair of the School of Medicine’s Occupational Therapy Division, has been named a 2020 inductee to the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Roster of Fellows.

The honor recognizes occupational therapists who through their knowledge, expertise, leadership, advocacy, and/or guidance have made significant contributions over time to the profession with a measured impact on consumers of occupational therapy and/or members of the Association.

Wheeler has been an active educator, researcher, author, clinician, and advocate in the area of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation for more than two decades.

Wheeler joins other WVU faculty who hold the honor, including Anne Cronin, Ph.D., OTR/L, professor and outgoing interim chair, and Rondalyn Whitney, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, associate professor.

Wheeler will accept the honor at the AOTA Annual Conference happening in Boston in March.
