WVU Medicine Awarded $1.8M for Pediatric Research

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - WVU’s School of Medicine was awarded a $1.8 million grant for pediatric research from the federal Department of Health and Human Services.

The $1,813,226 grant was announced Monday by Congressman David McKinley, R-W.Va., and U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va. It’s among $3,358,366 in grant funding awarded to 28 West Virginia health centers.

Other awards include $52,963 for the Monongahela Valley Association of Health Centers, in Fairmont; $45,943 for the Clay-Battelle Health Services Association, in Blacksville; and $50,196 for the Preston-Taylor Community Health Centers, in Grafton.
