WVU Medicine Children’s offering telemedicine, in-person appointments in Parkersburg area

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Specialists from WVU Medicine Children’s are now providing appointments for families in the Parkersburg area.

“A child’s illness or injury is already stressful for parents. Finding the appropriate care shouldn’t be. That’s why we’re thrilled to be able to bring our experts to families in the Mid-Ohio Valley,” Amy L. Bush, R.N., M.S.N., M.B.A., C.N.O.R., chief operating officer for WVU Medicine Children’s, said. “Now, parents can access the care they need for their children close to home.”

The services are being provided both in-person and through telemedicine and will be staffed by WVU Medicine Children’s physicians, who will see patients in the WVU Medicine Primary Care offices located at 800 Grand Central Mall Suite 4 in Vienna.

WVU Medicine Children’s is the state’s largest group of primary care and specialty care physicians and surgeons dedicated to the care of children and adolescents. It is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program and the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children.

WVU Medicine Children’s is a hospital within a hospital, currently located on the sixth floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. But, it is changing and growing.
