WVU OT Faculty to Present TBI Training

Collaborating with the WVU Centers for Excellence in Disability, the WVU Division of Occupational Therapy faculty present the course entitled: "Traumatic Brain Injury: Return to Work and Community – Case Study Applications"

This course will present person centered evaluation and intervention approaches to facilitating return to work and community participation for adults following traumatic brain injury. Video demonstrations will be used to illustrate the strategies discussed.

As a result of this course, participants will be able to:

Recognize common residual cognitive, perceptual, psychological, and social impairments associated with traumatic brain injury.  

Recognize the impact of TBI related impairments on successful return to work and community participation. 

Identify person-centered approaches to work and community related assessment and intervention for persons following TBI.
