Mission and vision

The Department of Medicine within the WVU School of Medicine aspires toward research that will meaningfully improve the lives of West Virginians. Our common research interest relates to addressing the numerous challenges of healthcare delivery to a largely rural population, often with inadequate healthcare resources.

How we can help

We support faculty members and trainees through research-related coaching and mentorship. This includes, but isn't limited to:

  • Research-question development
  • Study design and planning
  • Administrative requirements (i.e., navigating IRB approval process)
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Presentation of results
