WVU Medicine Recognizes OT Alumni

Recently, WVU OT Alumni were recognized for their exceptional patient care throughout the WVU Medicine System.

Evan Pivont Smith was recognized as the Fairmont Medical Center employee of the month. Employed with WVUMedicine for a total of three years, Smith provided OT services at the Ruby Memorial and Fairmont Medical Center locations.

Additionally, OT providers were recognized during the WVU Medicine Jon Michael Moore Trauma Night of Recognition. The hard work and dedication of the many professionals were recognized who comprise the trauma system – from the scene of the injury through inpatient hospital care to rehabilitation and recovery.

This annual event includes stories of trauma patients and representatives of each stage of their care were presented with a Cornerstone of Recovery Award. Three WVU OT Alumni received the Cornerstone of Recovery Award including Erica Smith, Brittany England, and Abby Snitz Clark. England, pictured here, served as a Level 2 fieldwork clinical instructor for Clark and we recognize her efforts in providing education to future occupational therapy practitioners.
