Department of Neuroradiology Vice Chair of Research Dhairya Lakhani spoke at ASFNR 2025
Dhairya A. Lakhani, M.D., recently served as faculty and led a workshop on perfusion imaging at the 2025 American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR) annual meeting, held Sept. 18-21 in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Lakhani, vice chair of research in the West Virginia University School of Medicine’s Department of Neuroradiology, presented on “Perfusion Imaging Overview & Background in Acute Ischemic Stroke Secondary to Large Vessel Occlusion.”
This year’s program highlighted emerging topics in the field, including artificial intelligence, metabolic imaging such as PET, focused ultrasound, brain-computer interfaces, and the latest neuroimaging software developments, in addition to sessions on BOLD and perfusion imaging.
