MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — Two faculty members at the WVU School of Nursing, Dr. Marian “Marnie” Reven and Kendall Tuttle, have earned their Certification in Effective Teaching, an academic credential endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE).
Over the past year, Reven and Tuttle completed four six‑week interactive modules in the following areas: Creating a Productive Learning Environment, Promoting Active Learning, Inspiring Inquiry and Preparing Lifelong Learners, and Designing Learner-Centered Courses.
Faculty who earn this certification demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional teaching, resulting in higher student engagement, improved academic achievement, and stronger retention outcomes that enhance institutional impact and support long-term student success.
Currently, eight additional faculty members from the Morgantown, Charleston, Keyser, and Beckley campuses are in the process of completing this certification.
