Global Health Track and Combined Infectious Diseases/Critical Care

A Global Health Concentration is available with the combination of an international elective and completion of the WVU Clinic Tropical Medicine and Traveler’s Health Course. In addition, an ACGME-approved combined Infectious Diseases- Critical Care fellowship is now offered with the partnership of the Infectious Diseases Division and our colleagues in Pulmonary/Critical Care for a three-year program. Future opportunities in the fellowship include a combined Infectious Diseases/Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS, a four-year fellowship through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). The WVU Infectious Diseases Fellowship program is one of eleven pilot programs across the country to start recruiting for this in 2023.

Please contact Dr. Rebecca Reece for more information regarding the infectious disease fellowship and how to apply for the combined ID/CC fellowship.
