Faculty invited to attend 2024 Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium

The sixth Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium will focus on basic, translational, clinical and population research discussing the biological mechanisms, diagnostics and prevention of breast cancer.

The event will kick off Sunday, October 27 and last through Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

The keynote speakers will be Senior Director of Basic Science at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Ralph E. and Willia T. Main Presidential Endowed Chair Cancer Research Professor in the Department of Oncological Sciences at the University of Utah, Alana Welm, Ph.D., and Executive Director at Basser Center for BRCA and Director of MacDonald Cancer Risk Evaluation Center Basser Professor in Oncology, Susan Domchek, M.D., FASCO.

The purpose of the symposium is to bring diverse audiences together to create a healthy and efficient research environment that eventually develops into cross-institutional collaborations, clinical trials and treatments for breast cancer.
