Medicine Grand Rounds: Dr. Merrill to give presentation on thrombosis

Samuel Merrill, M.D., Ph.D., will be giving a presentation on thrombosis during the Department of Medicine grand rounds on Friday, Jan. 26, at 8 a.m.

Dr. Merrill is an assistant professor for the Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology and Oncology. His presentation is titled "Thrombosis and 'Hypercoagulable' Testing." The objectives of the presentation are to distinguish between thrombosis types, highlight venous thrombosis guideline recommendations, showcase limitations of thrombophilia testing, discuss practice changes over time and review testing practices at WVU.

The presentation will be held online via Zoom and in person. The in-person presentation will take place in the Fukushima Auditorium on the first floor of the Health Sciences Center near the entrance to the Dental Clinic.
