The WVU Division of Occupational Therapy is proud to announce the recent success of three alumni obtaining the rigorous Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS™) credential.  The CSRS™ is the field’s only stroke certification for occupational and physical therapists. Certification includes in-depth, hands on training in stroke rehabilitation along with a rigorous examination.

Jacob Greenfield, MOT, OTR/L, CSRS, has focused his occupational therapy career on inpatientstroke rehabilitation at Encompass Rehabilitation in Morgantown, WV. Additionally, Jacob has served as a clinical instructor for fieldwork students and an adjunct instructor for the Division of OT. Jacob is an alumnus of the WVU MOT class of 2018.

Focusing her career on neurological rehabilitation, Molly Shriver, MOT, OTR/L, CBIS, CSRS, adds the Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist credential to her resume. Molly previously earned the Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) from the Brain Injury Association of America in 2019. She is currently the Clinical Leader in the Stroke Unit at Sheltering Arms Institute in Richmond, VA. Molly obtained her MOT degree from WVU in 2014.

Ashley Gatewood, MOT, OTR/L, CSRS, merges expertise from a variety of settings to serve her clients. In addition to her inpatient and home health rehabilitation experience, Ashley has served as a clinical manager at a medical technology company that creates virtual reality and robotic devices for people with neurological disorders or injuries. Ashley is a recognized national speaker on incorporating technology into rehabilitation. Ashley obtained her MOT degree from WVU in 2013.

Congratulations to Jacob, Molly, and Ashley. We are proud of your accomplishments.
