WVU Department of Otolaryngology Hosts Annual Alumni Conference

The WVU Department of Otolaryngology hosted its Annual Alumni Conference, on Saturday, June 9th, at the Marriott Morgantown Waterfront Place in the Wharf District of Morgantown, WV. This year marked the largest attendance ever for this event, with attendees traveling from all areas of the United States. Guest speakers for the event included:

  • Dr. George H. Zalzal, Professor and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington, DC
  • Dr. Fuad Baroody, Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the University of Chicago, in Chicago, IL
  • Dr. Hassan Arshad, Assistant Professor of Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY
  • Dr. Hope Bueller, Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngology at Memorial Medial Group in Lake Charles, LA
  • Dr. Jordan Cain, Facial Plastics at Texas Facial Aesthetics in Frisco, TX
  • Dr. Johnathan Castano, Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellow at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA

The educational portion of the event ran from 8:00am to 4:25pm with 19 excellent presentations and panel discussions. Following the conclusion of the educational seminar, the Annual Education Dinner was held, and the winners of the research presentations announced:

Touma Foundation Research Award – Dr. William Stokes, PGY4
