WVU in the News: WVU researcher works to develop new app designed to help target victims of rural sex trafficking

WVU researcher Amie Ashcraft is developing an app designed to prevent sex trafficking, which she plans to release in about three years.

The desktop and mobile app is called SexEx Rural and will be used to train an individual on how to identify and report sex trafficking.

Ashcraft said alongside the development of the mobile app, there are plans to open a resource center that people will be able to go to.
