Outreach
The School of Medicine’s Eastern Campus proudly collaborates with community partners to deliver outreach services to people in need across the Eastern Panhandle. The campus is home to the Farm to You and Community Health and Street Medicine programs, which each offer medical students opportunities to provide crucial services to patients and community members in need.
Farm to You
The Farm to You program is a WVU Health Sciences Initiative that partners with local farmers to distribute fresh, locally grown produce to patients at no cost at participating WVU Medicine clinics in the eastern panhandle.

Community Health and Street Medicine
The Community Health and Street Medicine program at the West Virginia University School of Medicine educates medical students and family medicine residents in compassionate, low-barrier comprehensive medical care for patients affected by factors such as substance use disorders, mental health disorders, homelessness and disability. This direct care is delivered through drop-in clinics, home visits and street medicine rounds.
