Rotations

The School of Medicine offers community health and street medicine rotations to Eastern Campus medical students and residents enrolled in the Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. The four-week rotation is required in the curriculum for Rural Family Medicine residents during the second and third year and is available as an elective for fourth-year medical students. These rotations typically take place on Mondays and Fridays.

Rotation Locations

Community health and street medicine rotations are held at local health departments and the Jefferson County Courthouse. In addition to events at these locations, the community health and street medicine team also travels to several public places to set up pop-up clinics and provide direct care to patients in need.
