Medical Laboratory Science

The School of Medicine is actively involved in basic science and clinical research. There are several research centers that focus on areas of importance to the state and nation including heart disease, lung biology, diabetes and obesity, cancer, and immunology/cell biology.

There are many disciplines within the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Laboratory Medicine that contribute to research, including in the areas of:
