Neurology

The Section of Pediatric Neurology has three full time board certified pediatric neurologists and a pediatric nurse practitioner. A variety of children are served including those with Developmental Delay, Epilepsy, Headaches, Neuromuscular Conditions, Movement Disorders, Neurocutaneous Syndromes, Neurogenetic and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Cerebral Palsy, Complications of Prematurity, Nervous System Infections, Spasticity and Pediatric Stroke.

There is a comprehensive pediatric epilepsy program which is staffed by pediatric neurologists, a nurse practitioner and an epilepsy nurse specialist. Other members of the team as needed are a neuropsychologist and neurosurgeon. Services available include video EEG monitoring, and epilepsy surgery including placement of the vagal nerve stimulator.

Other specialty clinics include an Attention Deficit Disorder clinic and a Muscular Dystrophy Association clinic.
