The Department of Anesthesiology at West Virginia University invites third- and fourth-year medical students to embark on an immersive two- or four-week elective in Pediatric Anesthesiology. The Department of Anesthesiology at West Virginia University offers a unique and immersive paid Summer Externship in Anesthesiology, designed specifically for medical students eager to explore this exciting field early in their training. This four-week externship is more than just an introduction; it’s a deep dive into the diverse subspecialties of anesthesiology, including Regional Anesthesiology, Obstetric Anesthesiology, Cardiac Anesthesiology, Chronic Pain, and various aspects of Operative Anesthesiology.
