Community Operations
Division Mission
We are a group of physicians and advance practice providers providing high-quality emergency care to our patients in West Virginia and surrounding states.
With our roots in an academic tertiary care hospital, the experience of caring for patients in all environments, and the backing of a health system with hospitals of varying size, we have the ability to staff emergency departments throughout the region with docs who are board-certified and residency-trained in emergency medicine, or otherwise have significant long-term emergency department experience.
This allows us to and provide the same high quality emergency care in all the departments we staff, and thus decreases the health care disparities in varying areas of our region.
Educational Opportunities
The faculty in the Division of Community Operations participate as clinical faculty for students and advanced practice provider students from a variety of institutions, including, but not limited to WVU and WVSOM. Those faculty who are ABEM certified also actively participate in the education of emergency medicine residents during their REMI experiences.
