The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences offers four distinct fellowship programs in the areas of cornea, glaucoma, ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and retina. The Department supports up to five clinical fellows each academic year across the four programs.
Each fellow serves as a member of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty, functioning as an instructor and mentor to residents and medical students in addition to their clinical duties. Fellows work closely with physicians in their given subspecialty, gradually developing their skills and knowledge to work independently in the clinic and operating room.
