Presentation of aromatherapy study at 2021 Spring ASOPRS Meeting
Former oculoplastics fellow Jamier Schaefer, M.D., presented “The Effects of Aromatherapy on Anxiety and Pain in Patients Undergoing Oculoplastic Surgery: A Pilot Study" at the virtual American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery conference on June 26, 2021. In addition to Dr. Schaefer, the research team included Anthony Leonard, M.D., Michael Chang, M.D., Nina Calvert, CRNA, Pavithra Ranganathan, M.D., Bradley Thuro, M.D., Raquel Evans, BSN, Aaron Fay, M.D., and John Nguyen, M.D.

Oculoplastics fellow to present in Singapore
Oculoplastics fellow, Jamie Schaefer, has been selected by the iTEDs Executive Board's Award Committee to receive a $2500 travel grant so that she can present her poster on thyroid eye disease in Singapore during the iTED meeting in February.
