Program Design

The program has one fellow per year. The fellow participates in a one-year period of training. The program is divided into rotations of curricular emphasis for the durations listed below which are distributed throughout the year.

Rotations of Curricular Emphasis

  • 4 months Brain
  • 4 months Spine
  • 4 months Head and Neck
  • 4 months Pediatric Neuroradiology

The fellow will interpret imaging studies, perform image guided neuroradiology procedures and participate in interdisciplinary conferences specific to each subsection of neuroradiology during each rotation. 

Call

The fellow will be assigned to MRI call every second weekend. The fellow will read approximately 20 MRIs each Saturday and Sunday during the call weekend which will be reviewed by an attending neuroradiologist.

Teaching and Academic Responsibilities

The fellow will present at interdisciplinary conferences and interesting case conferences weekly. The fellow will also present several resident noon conferences per year and provide mentoring and teaching to junior residents.

Research and Quality Improvement

The fellow is required to complete an academic project and quality improvement project during their fellowship. The fellow is highly encouraged to attend and present at national conferences with stipends available to cover the cost of attendance. Faculty are available to provide mentorship and assistance in completing.
