Biddle named coordinator for BeWell
Maxx Biddle has been named coordinator for WVU Health Sciences BeWell.
Biddle has been serving as the interim coordinator since August 2025. Before stepping in as interim coordinator, Biddle served as the embedded behavioral health therapist at WVU’s College of Law, where he assisted students and promoted wellness initiatives.
BeWell is a satellite office of the Carruth Center serving all Health Sciences students, including undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, on the Morgantown Campus.
Biddle attended West Virginia University for both his undergraduate and graduate studies. After earning his master's degree in Counseling, he worked with Wellspring Family Services, providing therapeutic services for rural and underserved families in north-central West Virginia. He later joined WVU Medicine’s Center for Hope and Healing, where he became the inaugural lead clinical therapist and fostered his passion for treating individuals with substance use disorder.
Biddle is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and an Approved Licensed Professional Counselor (ALPS). He has also earned his Advanced Alcohol and Drug Certification (AADC).
In his own time, Biddle also supervises other provisionally licensed counselors who are seeking their professional licensure.
A Morgantown native, Biddle lives with his wife, Lauren, and his son, Ezra. He is also an avid sports fan and reader.
