Burt inducted into Academy for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

The WVU Division of Occupational Therapy is proud to have been awarded yet another teaching awards among its faculty members. In April 2021, Dr. Amy Kurowski-Burt was inducted into the WVU Health Science Academy for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. The academy strives to foster and promote excellence in education, innovation, and scholarship. Additionally, the academy creates collaborative networks and mentorship opportunities.

Dr. Burt is the prior award winner of two School of Medicine Distinguished Teacher Awards. The WVU School of Medicine Distinguished Teacher Awards are given each year to recognize and reward exceptional teaching and/or innovation in teaching methods, course and curriculum design, and instructional tools. In 2019, Dr. Burt earned the School of Medicine Distinguished Teacher Awards as the Senior Award winner, and in 2013 she earned the School of Medicine Distinguished Teacher Awards at the Junior Faculty level.
