The Carruth Center for Psychological and Psychiatric Services in partnership with the School of Medicine’s Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry will assume the responsibilities of the former assistant dean for behavioral health and chief behavioral wellness officer, John V. Campo, MD.

Dr. Campo recently accepted a position at Johns Hopkins University where he will lead the nation’s first child psychiatry service in a pediatric hospital. He will serve as vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and vice president of psychiatric services at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. His last day at WVU was Sept. 30.

Campo led the BeWell team at Health Sciences, a satellite location of the Carruth Center, and served as the interim director of the Carruth Center.
