CCMC Holiday United Way Fundraisers Coming Soon

Unite with us in Celebration of the Holidays

It’s that time of the year and we are joining together to celebrate and give back to our communities through the United Way and have a little fun in the process.

As of Wednesday, December 14, $10,558 has been raised for the United Way through CCMC's 2022 workplace campaign. Within the coming days there will be three new opportunities to contribute to the United Way Campaign.  In addition to making a traditional pledge, we will be hosting the United Way Festive Day, Holiday gift basket raffles, and Christmas wreath silent auctions. 

We hope these activities taking place over the next week will bring us closer to our $20,000 United Way campaign goal. Remember that CCMC is matching employee donations. That means once we reach our $20,000 goal, CCMC will match employee contributions to enable a total donation of $40,000! Imagine the impact we can have on our community.

United Way Festive Day 

All CCMC employees are encouraged to get in the holiday spirit by wearing your favorite work appropriate festive attire on Wednesday, December 21. Employees providing a $5 gift to the United Way will be permitted to wear work appropriate holiday themed sweaters, scrubs, head wear, etc., as permitted in respective work areas. All employees wishing to participate in the United Way Festive Day are asked to make their donation by Tuesday, December 20. The United Way Festive Day donation portal is open now through Tuesday, December 20. Your donation to participate can be made here. Please see the attached flyer for further information.

Holiday Gift Basket Raffles

Employees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for three different baskets, with all proceeds benefitting the United Way. The basket themes will include:

Crown Florals & Gifts Cozy Basket, All Things Mountaineer Basket from Bond's, and a Holl's Chocolate Assortment Basket.

Tickets will be available for purchase (one ticket for $1 and six tickets for $5) on the following dates near the entrance to the Cafeteria: 

  • Monday, December 19 - 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, December 20 - 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. 
  • Wednesday, December 21 - 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. (During holiday meal serving times). 

The winners of the basket raffles will be drawn on Wednesday, December 21 at 6:30 p.m. All raffle winners will be contacted on Thursday, December 22 with directions for pick up. 

Departmental Wreath Auction 

A selection of wreaths from the recent CCMC Wreath Decorating Contest will be available for bidding in a silent auction with all proceeds to be contributed to CCMC's United Way workplace campaign. Photos of the wreaths will be on display outside the cafeteria with clipboards for bidding beginning Thursday, December 15 and will be on display through Wednesday, December 21. Bidding will end at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21. The highest bidders will be contacted on Thursday, December 22 to make arrangements for pick up. 

These department wreaths (currently on display in the cafeteria) will be up for bidding during the silent auction.
