In preparation for COVID-19 in our community, we will CANCEL all CHASM and Manna Meal outreach sessions UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

GHHS Summit update:

In keeping with efforts to respond wisely to the COVID-19 pandemic, our WVU SoM GHHS Summit, “Professional Advocacy: Beyond the Bedside”, April 16, 2020 has been CANCELLED.

Our thanks to each of this year’s committed speakers and supporters on behalf of the GHHS Summit Planning Committee, including GHHS Students: Brooke Bertus M4, Tommy Casto M4, Thomas Gaughan M4, Joe Marshalek M4, Luke Roberts M4, Grace Walkup M4 and David Zekan M4.

CLASS OF 2020

MAY COMMENCEMENT has been cancelled due to the pandemic. A virtual ceremony will be held campus-wide on Saturday, May 16th at 11:00am. For more information about graduation and regalia visit this site https://graduation.wvu.edu/may-commencement. If you’re needing a refund for purchased regalia please email Peggy Frum of the Evansdale bookstore location at peggy.frum@mail.wvu.edu.

You’ll likely be getting paperwork for your residency and licensures. Because of the COVID response plan, our physical office is closed. Please mail your paperwork to Student Services, c/o Sheri Frankenberry at PO Box 9111, Morgantown, WV 26505. Note that the turnaround time for this paperwork will be delayed as the Registrar and Dean are also not in the office daily.

Dr. Amie Ashcraft is seeking MS3 and MS4 students to participate in pilot testing an interactive, multimedia, CDC-funded app-delivered training that teaches current and future healthcare providers to identify and report children being sexually exploited or trafficked. Participants will complete two course modules (a total of about 1.5 hours in length) as well as a pre-test survey before (20-30 minutes) and post-test survey after (20-30 minutes) the training. Participants will have access to the training materials and surveys between 4/23/20 and 4/27/20 and can complete them at their convenience during this period from the device of their choice (smartphone, tablet, computer). Up to 40 participating students will receive a $100 electronic gift card from Amazon.com. Interested students should email Dr. Ashcraft at amashcraft@hsc.wvu.edu to sign up.

Application to Committee on Admissions. A limited number of upcoming MSIV’s will be appointed to the COA. MSIV’s in good academic and professional standing are eligible. The application, sent via email last week to all MS3’s, must be completed and returned by May 7, 2020 at 11am EST to Dr. Linda Nield via email at lnield@hsc.wvu.edu. NO LATE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED!
