Courses available to enhance teaching skills while earning credentials

The Teaching and Learning Commons will offer several courses on effective teaching practices during the fall 2022 semester.

The classes include the following:

  • Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environment, Sept 19. - Nov. 13

These courses are based on the Association of College and University Educators framework. They are asynchronous and online. You have the option of completing as many or few of these courses as you prefer, but only one per semester, and receiving a micro-credential at the end of each.

If you choose to complete a total of 4 courses, you will receive a teaching certificate at the end that is endorsed by the American Council on Education.

If you have already earned the ACUE Effective Teaching Practices certificate, you can complete three of these courses to earn an Advanced Certificate in Effective College Instruction.
