Discharge Pharmacy goes 24/7

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 23, the WVU Medicine Discharge Pharmacy will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is located on the first floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, two doors from Starbucks.

A pharmacist will provide service to patients after regular hours, including patients who are discharged from the Emergency Department.

Reminder: In the effort to minimize disruption in the transition of patients from their hospital stay to home, WVU Medicine Pharmacies asks that prescriptions for employees and family members be sent to the Medical Center Pharmacy, instead of the Discharge Pharmacy.

Employees should pick up their medication at Medical Center Pharmacy during regular business hours. If you are not able to pick up your medication, an on-campus delivery service to your work location is available.
