Dr. Michael Londner accepted the role of Chief Medical Officer at Berkeley Medical Center effective January 1, 2025
Dr. Michael Londner, Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) at Berkeley Medical Center, has accepted and will assume the role of Chief Medical Officer at Berkeley Medical Center effective January 1, 2025.
Dr. Londner has served as our VPMA at Berkeley Medical Center for the past two years. He joined the hospital as an emergency department physician in February 2012 working for TeamHealth. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Londner has held numerous positions including ED medical director, past president of the BMC Medical Staff, and medical director of our Stroke and Advanced Cardiac Life Support programs. He holds two Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees and completed his emergency medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Londner has Master of Public Health and Master of Business Administration degrees. He worked in the Inova and Sentara health systems in Virginia before joining the BMC medical staff, and prior to that time held numerous leadership positions at The Johns Hopkins University Health System. He brings over 25 years of medical experience to his new role.
Dr. Londner is an accomplished leader in our organization, and I am confident that he will provide excellent oversight on matters of medical delivery, clinical advancement/integration, quality improvement and patient safety.
