Elevators in WVU Medicine Children's switched to secure access
Beginning at 10 a.m. Dec. 14, all elevators in WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital will be switched to secure Galaxy access. This means that all staff and visitors will need to use their badge to "call" the elevator and also to select the desired floor. Security and ambassador colleagues will be distributing badges to patients' families as appropriate.
Families will have access to the main lobby level, their patient's assigned clinical floor, and the 10th floor Family Resource Center. Individuals will only be able to access the 10th floor through the main visitor elevators. No other elevators will have access to this floor after 10 a.m. on Dec. 14.
Use of express elevators and access to the helipad for those who need it remains the same.
