Employee safety incidents need reported via Workday

Effective Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, all employee safety incidents sustained by WVU Medicine employees will be reported and submitted in the Workday system.

Employee safety incidents include, but are not limited to, falls, strains, needlesticks, cuts, burns, injuries from combative patients, and other injuries/illnesses that occur during an employee's work shift.

Note: Only employee safety incidents are to be reported in Workday -- not patient safety incidents.

To submit an employee safety incident report, employees should:

• Log in to Workday
• Click on View Profile
• Select Actions
• Click Safety Incident
• Select Report Safety Incident
