Faculty invited to annual M.D. White Coat Ceremony
The WVU School of Medicine M.D. White Coat Ceremony will be held Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center. Faculty members are invited to attend as the members of the Class of 2028 will receive their white coats and reaffirm their reasons for choosing medicine as their life’s work.
Hannah Hazard-Jenkins, MD, FACS, a WVU graduate from the Class of 2001, will serve as the keynote speaker. She is the WVU Cancer Institute’s executive chair and director, as well as the Jean and Laurence DeLynn Chair of Oncology.
School of Medicine M.D. alumni and current faculty are encouraged to sponsor a white coat. By sponsoring a white coat, you have a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impression on a future physician. By leaving a note of encouragement, you can impart valuable wisdom to a student as they begin caring for patients.
To be a sponsor of our White Coat Ceremony, complete the steps on the Foundation site. Be sure to add your personal note to the student in the comments section.
A reception at the Erickson Alumni Center will follow. Faculty are required to RSVP by Friday, March 6.
