Faculty must register for School of Medicine Commencement Ceremony

All faculty who plan to participate in the School of Medicine Commencement ceremony on  Friday, May 10, at 4 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum must RSVP. Faculty must arrive by 3 p.m. and a parking pass will be provided to faculty who have RSVP’d.

Deadline to RSVP is Thursday, April 25 at 5 p.m.

This year, students graduating from all School of Medicine programs will be honored in a single commencement ceremony. This includes all undergraduate, graduate (e.g. MS, PhD, etc.), and professional students (e.g. MD, DPT, etc.).

Who should register to attend?

All faculty who plan to attend must RSVP. This includes faculty who are hooding a student and faculty who only plan to participate in the procession.

Regalia requirement

Faculty participating in graduation are required to wear academic regalia, either from their alma mater or WVU.

Any faculty member needing to borrow regalia who has not previously submitted a request through WVU University Events should do so by completing the regalia request form by April 25.
