Healthcare Hero cutouts featured at WVU baseball games
Take me out to the ball game! A group of WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital employees is going to be making regular appearances at Monongalia County Ballpark during WVU Baseball home games this season. Cardboard cutouts of some employees are being placed in the stands as a way for WVU Athletics to honor local healthcare heroes. They were filling some of the seats this past weekend as the Mountaineers won two out of three games against Kansas to open Big 12 Conference play.
The team is set to play its next seven games on the road and will back in Morgantown on April 14 for a home contest against Marshall. Currently, no fans are attending games at the ballpark, but you might catch a glimpse of our healthcare heroes’ cutouts during highlights. Sports fans with ESPN+ may see them during games broadcast on the subscription streaming service. The next home games scheduled to air on ESPN+ are April 16-18 versus Texas Tech.
