Hospitals offer free long-distance calling for patients

The visitation policy at WVU Medicine’s J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and WVU Medicine Children's Hospital has been tightened significantly because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but patients’ long distance calls to their loved ones are now free of charge.

Patients can dial the 10-digit phone number (including the area code) with no need to dial “1” before that number. There will be a three-second delay after dialing the number before it will ring.
