Karyn Wallace named vice president of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute

Karyn Wallace has been named vice president of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI). She has served as assistant vice president of neuroscience at the RNI since October 2017.

"During her tenure, she has provided outstanding leadership and played a crucial role in the growth and success of the RNI,” Ron Pellegrino, MD, chief operating officer, WVU Medicine, said. “Karyn is one of our homegrown leaders – a highly capable and talented administrator with a strong emphasis on patient care, collaboration, and team building.”

Wallace previously served as the clinical administrative director of Radiology. Earlier in her career, she worked as a nuclear medicine technologist, a PET/CT technologist, and manager of PET/CT. She has an MBA from WVU and her bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology from Wheeling Jesuit University.

In her new role, Wallace will oversee all aspects of the RNI including four academic departments, multidisciplinary patient care, outreach across the state and region, the research enterprise, and strategic plan implementation.
