Match Day 2024: WVU Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences welcomes newly-matched residents for 2024

The West Virginia University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences will welcome four newly-matched incoming residents to the residency program in July.

The Ophthalmology Residency Program welcomes incoming residents Forrest Clark from the Medical College of Georgia; Stephen Chen from West Virginia University, Sabrina Duong from the University of Missouri; and Deniz Siso from Pennsylvania State University.

The four new residents will arrive on campus in July, initially starting as hospital interns through the joint transitional year program, before transitioning to full-time residents in ophthalmology for the next three years of their training.

“I am once again delighted to welcome four more talented students to our residency program,” said Bradley Thuro, M.D., residency program director. “I look forward to working closely with each of them throughout the next four years as they take the next step in their medical training.”
