MS4 Class of 2020

You’ll likely be getting paperwork for your residency and licensures. Because of the COVID response plan, our physical office is closed. Please mail your paperwork to Student Services, c/o Sheri Frankenberry at PO Box 9111, Morgantown, WV 26505. Note that the turnaround time for this paperwork will be delayed as the Registrar and Dean are also not in the office daily.

Due to the recent meeting protocol uncertainties associated with the Corona-virus, the scheduled 3/18/20 start date of the expanded "One-on-One" Meetings with a Financial Advisor, will be postponed until further notice. Getting to Residency 1.0 WILL BE POSTPONED!

The WVU Department of Family Medicine is pleased to announce that the applications for its innovative Rural Scholars Program are now available. This program is designed for students committed to making rural/small town Family Medicine in West Virginia a career. Qualified MS III’s are eligible for a $10,000 stipend for their fourth year and facilitated admission to WVU’s Morgantown Family Medicine Residency. The Rural Scholars Program allows for an enhanced primary care experience in the 4th year curriculum as well as early integration into the residency experience. Community and Rural Rotation Support (CARRS) Applications for Blocks 1-3 is open and closes on April 3, 2020. Review CARRS requirements, projects and mentors and apply for the $75 per day stipend at http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/icrh/students/carrs-program. Department of Family Medicine and WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health Summer Externship Program! This program offers a dynamic orientation (June 9-11) at HSC followed by a three-week (June 15-July3) clinical experience in a private physician’s office, a group practice and/or hospital setting. Students are pain a stipend (1,500 for a 4-week urban externship or 1,800 for a 4-week rural site) The application survey is available under the “Assessment Tools” tab on the Family Med: Summer Externship Program site.
