The Keurig by Student Services office is open! The Keurig room will close at 2:30pm. Expect expanded hours in the weeks following. Remember to bring your own cup, wear a mask and only one person in the room at a time for social distancing. There are spots down the hallway to stand on if you need to wait to enter the room. Come by and grab a free cup of coffee while you study for exams this week!!

May Graduates: Graduation Application is now open! Go to STAR to apply. Check your DegreeWorks to ensure you’re on track for May graduation. Remember you need 100 hours of Community Service logged on SOLE!

The WVU Health Sciences Financial Aid Office is now offering loan review services to fourth-year medical students who would like to know their loan repayment options after graduation. Students are provided a personalized loan portfolio that includes a general loan overview and repayment calculator. In addition to the portfolio, students can also schedule a one-on-one loan consultation with a financial aid counselor to discuss their loan questions and long-term financial goals.

If you are interested in these services, please fill out the “Loan Review Form: School of Medicine Seniors” at https://urwvu.wufoo.com/forms/z1p8c91t0735eke/. Portfolio-only requests will be emailed to your MIX email within the next few weeks. If you request a loan consultation appointment, a financial aid counselor will reach out to you shortly to set up an appointment time based on the preferences you indicate on the form.

:::WVU FAMILY MEDICINE RURAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS:::

The WVU Department of Family Medicine is pleased to announce that the applications for its innovative Rural Scholars Program are now available. This program is designed for students committed to making rural/small town Family Medicine in West Virginia a career. Qualified MS III’s are eligible for a $10,000 stipend for their fourth year and facilitated admission to WVU’s Morgantown Family Medicine Residency. The Rural Scholars Program allows for an enhanced primary care experience in the 4th year curriculum as well as early integration into the residency experience.
