Morgantown Happenings - January 7, 2020

The WVU Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG), In coordination with ACP (American College of Physicians) and SGIM (Society of General Internal Medicine), will be hosting "#ProudToBeGIM" week on Tuesday February 25th at 12 PM-1 PM. The goal of this day is to enhance the knowledge and interest of internal medicine to our students. Please join us for an hour of fun, food, giveaways, and prizes as we celebrate Proud to be GIM week. Stay tuned for more information to come.

ULTRAFEST Saturday, March 28 from 8-3pm. Form a team of 3 to compete in an ultrasound competition with prizes.

GTR 4 – The Match and SOAP will be held either Wednesday, Jan 8 or Wednesday, Jan 15 in 2940B at 3pm.

MAY COMMENCEMENT DATE RELEASED. The May 2020 Graduation Ceremony will be Friday, May 15 @7pm in the Creative Arts Center.

MS3 Class of 2021

Applications still open for Peds Residency Rural Scholars Program. The deadline for application is January 31, 2020 and interviews will be in the spring 2020. Please contact Dr. Emily Nease or Dr. Linda Nield for more information!

Getting to 4th Year will be held February 3rd at 4pm following your mid-block workshop. We will discuss how to create an M4 schedule, away rotations, rural requirements, etc.

MS2 Class of 2022

Save the Date! Professional & Career Development 2.5 – Getting to M3 will be held January 10th from 1 – 5pm in 1901. We will discuss Step 1, M3 clerkships, choosing your M3 schedule, etc!

Get on your Calendars – White Coat Ceremony will be Saturday, March 21st at the Creative Arts Center.
