Student Services will be open Monday – Friday from 7:30-5:00pm. The Keurig will also be open during these times.

The Student Activity Center across from the Bookstore at HSC is now open. Ping Pong, Foosball and more are available for your enjoyment. Please wear a mask and ensure proper hand sanitizing when utilizing the activities.

MS4 Class of 2022

Programs will not be able to begin reviewing your applications until the fifth Wednesday of September (September 29th). Your MSPE will be available to the programs with their initial application review this same day.

As you are completing your one-on-one meetings with the campus Deans (aka GTR 2) we’re going to move forward with the next step in the Getting to Residency series, GTR 3 – The Interview. We will have 2 offerings for this encouraged session: Monday, Sept 27 or Monday, Oct 4 from 3:00-5:30pm via Zoom. On either day, from 3:00-4:00, Dr. Cottrell will present on best practices for interviewing and then from 4:00-5:30pm you’ll meet with a guest faculty who will run through a practice interview with you. PEDIATRICS RESIDENCY RURAL SCHOLARs APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

If you hope to complete your pediatrics residency at WVU in Morgantown, consider applying to the Pediatrics Residency Rural Scholars Program. Benefits include a $10,000 stipend applied to your Year 4 tuition, your creation and implementation of a rural scholars project of your choice, IPad for your rural project data, guaranteed acceptance into the WVU Pediatrics Residency Program, and more. The AAMC website estimates that the average cost of travel for residency interviews can be as high as nearly $12,000. The earned and saved money is great, the completion of a scholarly project is fulfilling, and the peace of mind from knowing you have matched at your number one choice for residency is priceless.
