Next Pod Squad meetup planned for Oct. 30
All WVU students, faculty and staff are invited to join the second meeting of the Pod Squad on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at noon via Zoom. Each month, the group discovers, connects and enjoys two podcasts from WVU and beyond, gathering on the last Wednesday for a virtual meetup to discuss the selected podcasts. This month’s selections come from the WVoice: A Health Sciences Podcast and Inside Mental Health Podcast. Registration is available online.

The WVoice: A Health Sciences Podcast features healthcare experiences shared by individuals from West Virginia in order to improve awareness on resources, social supports and health. This episode, “Blake’s Story,” discusses how healthcare accessibility works for a West Virginia individual who has experienced food insecurity.
The Inside Mental Health podcast features discussions surrounding psychology and mental health. In this episode, “Mastering Mental Fitness: Training for Self-Acceptance and Self-Affection,” guest Greg Harden, who has coached Tom Brady and Michael Phelps, discusses self-knowledge, mental training and normalizing fear and anxiety. This podcast is offered by the Carruth Center and BeWell.
