Ophthalmology Grand Rounds: Drs. Schmidt and Gabr to give presentations

Carl Schmidt, M.D., FACS, and Hesham Gabr, M.D., will each give presentations during the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences grand rounds on Wednesday, May 3, starting at 6:45 a.m.

Dr. Schmidt is a professor and the chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology for the Department of Surgery. He will be giving a presentation at 6:45 a.m. to discuss the new operating room time-out procedures. Dr. Gabr, a visiting retina specialist, will give a guest lecture at 7 a.m.

The presentations will be held online via Zoom and in the Pangilinan Family Lecture Hall on the second floor of the Eye Institute.
