Pathologists' assistant students represent WVU at national conference
Nicole Cavallo and Jonathan Moore were selected to represent the WVU Pathologists’ Assistant program as student delegates at the national conference for the American Association for Pathologists’ Assistants (AAPA) in Baltimore, Maryland.
Cavalllo and Moore were required to submit an abstract, which was reviewed by a commitee, for this highly competitive conference. Upon selection, students attend the conference, where they present a poster showcasing their case study. They also participate in workshops alongside other student delegates from pathologists' assistant programs across the country.
Cavallo and Moore's case studies focused on surgical pathology. Cavallo presented “Carcinosarcoma with Rare Inversion and Prolapse of Uterus,” and Moore presented “Protruding Uveal Melanoma.”
