Registration for Appalachian addiction conference now open
The West Virginia Medical Professions Health Program (WVMPHP) will host the 2018 Appalachian Addiction & Prescription Drug Abuse Conference October 18–20 at the Embassy Suites in Charleston, W.Va.
The theme of the conference is "Pain & Addiction, Best Practices & Proper Prescribing." Speakers from West Virginia University include James Berry, DO, associate professor of behavioral medicine and psychiatry and medical director of the Chestnut Ridge Center, and Michael Brumage, MD, MPH, FACP, FACPM, assistant dean for public health practice and service at the School of Public Health.
Registration is open and can be completed online. The registration fee is $195 for the first person, and $145 for each additional attendee. The code "AAC" can be used before Friday, Sept. 28 to recieve a discounted room rate at the Embassy Suites.
